Hello Big City Realty!
My name is Darius Bashar and I am excited about our session together!
Below I've included some quick notes and a few visual references to help you prepare for our shoot. I'm sure it's going to be lots of fun.
We will only have a short time together, so I wanted to make sure we are optimized for success.
Below I have included 9 very simple, but also very effective tips on how to prepare for our 15-20 min block of time together.
The purpose of great photography should always be to bring people closer to the REAL you.
Why does this matter?
Because the closer your customers are to the real you, the closer you are to closing the deal and growing your business.
If you have any questions I am always here to help.
You can email me at email@example.com or call me, on my direct line at 647-895-8585.
See you soon!
9 Tips TO HELP YOU PREPARE FOR OUR SHOOT
No matter what you decide to wear, it is important that you feel confident, comfortable and LIKE YOURSELF.
Remember to think about your end audience. How would your prospective clientele want to see you? Professional, warm, friendly, real and authentic are a few potential examples. You know your business and your personal brand better than anyone. We want to portray you as honestly as possible, so that people can feel closer to the REAL you.
If you are unsure about your clothing selection, I’d suggest bringing 2-3 options and we can help you choose. People do this all the time.
Please make sure all your clothes are clean, ironed and fits you nicely. It is very hard to look professional with dirty or wrinkled clothing that doesn’t fit you properly.
Layering clothing together with contrasts in brightness can look really great. For example darks and whites together. See below for references.
Usually people want their photos to feel warm and welcoming. Brighter coloured clothing or vibrant colours can help with this. Don't over do it. Make sure you feel comfortable in all your clothing options. If you don’t have brighter colours in your wardrobe, that is totally fine.
Clothing with nice textures can also look really great on camera. Sweaters, blazers, blouses and dresses in particular.
For people that wear make-up, I'd suggest bringing your make-up bag with you. Sometimes we need a few quick touch-ups - it's normal. Also, a good idea to bring a hair brush (if you have longer hair) and also chapstick is always helpful to have on set.
For women (or men who wear make-up), a little bit of eye make-up can go a very long way. Mascara will help bring out your eyes, which is always helpful for portraits. Just be careful not to over do the make-up, especially with coverup or powder.
