1) DO I NEED A HANDHELD CAMERA?

No, but if you have one you can bring it. Otherwise bring your smartphone and a notebook.

2) WHAT IF MY CAMERA IS OLD?

Since we are learning the basics most digital camera will suffice, as long as they have a “manual” option. They all use the same foundational principles.

3) WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY?

Then you are perfect for this workshop. This is a 101 class. You don’t need to know anything.

4) WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

As a free bonus I will be doing a mini photoshoot with each student, so dress the way you’d like to look in a professional photo. Don’t overthink or overdo it. Make sure you still feel comfortable and still feel like YOU.

5) HOW LONG WILL THE BONUS MINI PHOTOSHOOT TAKE (per person)?

Each person will get 2-5 mins with me, to take their portraits.

6) HOW MANY HD PHOTOS WILL EACH PERSON GET WITH THEIR BONUS GIFT?

Each person will have access to a private gallery site where they can download 2-5 of their favourite photos. The gallery is only accessible to the people in your group.

7) WHAT IF I SUCK AT GETTING MY PHOTOS TAKEN?

Perfect! You will have the most to gain from this experience. My entire business is based on working with people who are convinced they suck at being photographed. I promise I will be super gentle and kind.

8) WHAT IF I DON’T WANT MY PHOTO TAKEN?

Then, this is probably not the workshop for you — and I mean that with the utmost respect. This is an interactive workshop and each student will rely on other students to be their stand-in model while they practice their new skills. No one is allowed to share your photos without your consent (that includes me and my team). But getting your photo taken is part of the learning and also a part of the FUN.
