MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT:
There is often a difference between people in real life and people in photographs. No shit, way to point out the obvious! Yes, this is obvious, but still really messed with me. I thought it would be easy to get Turtle to smile and joke around, because in real life he is so full of energy and love. So when I couldn't get "that guy" to show up in the photos, I felt very frustrated.
ONE LESSON FROM THIS SHOOT:
Don't come into a portrait session with your mind fully made-up. That's not how photography works. Also, not how life works. Let go of your expectations of the session, the model and even of yourself and get lost in the moment.
